What the Rebbe asked
Five sources. Read them once, then go find ten people.

1. The takanah
In 5695 (1935) the Frierdiker Rebbe established that on Shabbos Mevorchim the entire Tehillim be said with a minyan before davening, followed by a maamar everyone can understand, and that the day be a day of farbrengen. He asked that it be established in every shul.

2. The brocha
The Frierdiker Rebbe wrote that there are no words for the merit of those who take part in Tehillim said with a congregation, nor for the nachas ruach it causes Above, and blessed them, their wives, sons and daughters, with good health and abundant parnassa, and through them their whole community and all of Israel.

3. For your children and grandchildren
Chumash with Rashi every day, Tehillim every day, and the whole Tehillim on Shabbos Mevorchim. Be scrupulous about these three. It is crucial for you, your children, and your grandchildren.

4. Moshiach will not accept excuses
The Rebbe said that when Moshiach comes he will not accept excuses. He will ask: how many Jews did you bring to the Tehillim of Shabbos Mevorchim? The Frierdiker Rebbe worked to bring every community, not only Chabad, to this custom.

5. In every shul
Ahavas Yisroel obligates us to seek the true good of every Jew. Tehillim said together affects the whole people materially, in children, health and livelihood, and spiritually, in light, blessing and redemption. Therefore it belongs in every shul.

Minyanim around the world
Every city, every country. Gold means a minyan is listed. Grey means nobody has started one yet: be the first.
Sign up for a minyan
Tell us which minyan you'll be at. We'll remind you the week of every Shabbos Mevorchim.
Put a minyan on the map
Have one already? List it. Don't have one? Start it, and the kiddush for your first two Shabbos Mevorchim is on us, $360 each.
Shluchim: this is the easiest standing program you will ever run. Once a month, before davening, no budget, and the Rebbe asked for it.
How the rating works
One number, 1 to 10, so you know what you're walking into. It comes from the person who claimed the minyan, who checks in once a month with two answers: how many came, and did it start on time.
A minyan nobody has claimed shows no rating. Claim it, take responsibility for it, and it gets one.
